3. Remove The Abuser From Your Life
Leaving an abusive relationship is also leaving the person who hurt you behind. This means you should cut all ties with this person. This means blocking them on every social media, changing your number if needed, and getting as far as you can from them. Even if you got a restraining order, they can still try to reach out to you online, so you must block them immediately. Deleting photos and removing any objects that remind you of that person is also a must. If you had mutual friends with this person, it’s also best to get away from them. Understand that you’re the priority here, and nothing else matters more than your mental health.4. Prioritize Your Health
One of the best post- relationship advice anyone can give you is to focus on yourself. After a relationship that damaged you as a person, the best revenge you can have on your abuser is to be better than them, and that means you have to get back on your feet while working on your health. Sign up to a gym membership, start eating healthy, and see yourself glow up!5. Do What You Love
What are your interests? From a hobby to a dream job, we all have ambitions and dreams. If you love to dance, start taking dance classes, if you want to become a doctor, go to med school. Not sure about what your dreams are yet? That’s fine! Just go with the flow and dare to experience a little bit of everything whenever you get the chance. Maybe take this time to travel and visit new places. Go volunteer somewhere needed. Remember that you are needed, and you are worth all the time and investment!6. Be Kind To Yourself
Healing from an abusive relationship is easier when you’re kind to yourself. The first step is to know your worth and to love yourself. You can work on self-compassion by making daily affirmations in the mirror, such as “I love myself” or “I’m worth it.” You can also pamper yourself now and then to feel better. A pedicure or a haircut never hurt anybody, right? Don’t think about yourself as a victim, think of yourself as a survivor. Actually, don’t just think it, believe it.- Advertisement -
