#5 – Take good care of yourself

The immense psychological distress from being cheated on can take a toll on your physical health and lead to some serious consequences.

Some physical health reactions caused by psychological distress include nausea, abdominal pain from high stress, weight loss due to loss of appetite, breathing problems, sleep disorder, etc.

If you don’t manage these symptoms by taking more care of yourself, you may risk suffering high blood pressure, heart problems, drug addiction or alcohol addiction if you rely on them to cope.

Do not rely on such unhealthy coping mechanisms, eat healthy food and try to sleep more.

This terrible experience may require the attention of a professional, especially since infidelity can also be a cause of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and depression.

Lastly, it probably feels like you’re living a nightmare now, but do not lose yourself no matter what. Try to love yourself more and stay healthy. Being cheated on may leave a lasting scar in you, but time will heal most of it, so stay strong.
