It’s hard to rebuild trust in a relationship, but you just need to keep in mind that what happened does not define what you have. There are certainly happy memories from before the critical event, and now is the perfect time to bring them back.

Invite your partner to sit and talk about all the things you used to do together and how it made you feel warm-hearted and joyful. You may even consider dating once again so you can psychologically go back to your happy times as a couple. Then, start from there to make new, happy memories.

Betrayal leaves deep, aching wounds, but with lots of efforts, a strong will, deep belief in how strong your bond is, and time, those wounds can be healed.

You should open your heart and soul to your partner and honestly express your remorse.

Just do whatever it takes to make your heartbroken partner know how truly sorry and regretful you are. Unless you mean it, you can never start mending your relationship.

After you apologize properly and sincerely, you should proceed to make sure that both of you are willing to give it a try and are ready to commit to saving the relationship.
