6. You Don’t Respect Your Partner’s Privacy
Everybody needs personal space and some alone time, especially when you share a house and a life with your lover. You don’t need to know everything about your partner’s day or be with him all the time, during all kinds of activities. Besides your marital life, each of you must have a personal and independent life, which also needs an adequate amount of time to be nurtured. The lack of respect for your partner’s privacy may make them feel overwhelmed and inflict emotional distress that can lead to other problems and, eventually, the end of the relationship. Of course, for this to work, you need to trust your partner fully and stop being so dependent. Trust and respect in a relationship are key elements for its success. _ Needless to say, when a long-term relationship ends, we can’t blame just one of the parts for its failure (well, except in a few rare cases). But if you keep on making the same mistakes over and over again, then maybe you should try to understand what you need to change to maintain a healthy and lasting relationship. This might be the best thing to do to keep you from falling into a spiral of toxic relationships full of regrets.- Advertisement -
