#2 – Decide on forgiveness

The very first step to forgiving someone is by deciding it from your heart, and not because someone pressured you into it. Forgiveness is a part of being a human that must come naturally from within.

You need to keep in mind that forgiveness never means forgetting or excusing the injustice. Just because you forgave your lying partner, doesn’t mean you must return to that toxic relationship.

Don’t expect to see fairness when you forgive because it can’t be true after you experienced a tragedy… Instead of seeking fairness, just seek forgiveness!

#3 – Make a list

Remember all the people you want to forgive and write their names down on a list, you can even remember those who have hurt you in your childhood.

You should organize their names from the lowest level of anger and injustice to the highest – It is best to start with lowest because forgiving the highest first can be compared to making someone who is not physically fit to run the marathon.

Once you start dealing with those who did things that are still bothering you and kept on repeating that process, you will become more forgivingly fit as you move higher up the list.

#4 – Uncover your anger

As you start learning the definition of forgiveness within your heart, you should ask yourself: How are you doing in terms of anger and have you been denying it?

You might be experiencing many physical consequences and you could be angrier than before. Are you feeling more fatigue than ever before? Perhaps it is the fire of anger eating you from inside.

Anger could be the general overview of believing that people can’t be trusted and you are in this alone – which is not true, by the way!

As you understand the symptoms of anger that changing you into a pessimistic person, you should then ask yourself if you really want to heal. As you say yes, you will automatically decide to forgive…
